BACK LIT SIGNS

A back lit signs is similar to a conventional channel letter, with the distinction that the lighting elements are exposed behind the signs instead of being inside. This type of signs is also known as reverse-lit, backlit, or halo-lit, all of which refer to the same concept. When the light is turned on, the illumination is visible around the edges of the letter, resulting in a captivating "halo" effect.

  • For the metal components of back lit signs, we can use many different types of metals to create your signs, such as Aluminum, Copper, Brass and Stainless Steel. If your location is near the sea, we will use 316 stainless steel for the sign shell, which is marine-grade and eliminates concerns about rust.
  • Durability for any installation. You can install illuminated letters inside or outside. Our signage is made to be durable regardless of the placement or weather conditions.
  • Most current back lit signs utilize safe LEDs as the light source. An AC transformer is used to provide 12VDC power to the LEDs. Electrical connections need to be arranged near the ceiling or wall behind the sign's installation location.
  • The brightness of LEDs may decrease after about 2-3 years, but that doesn't mean they won't light up. If the brightness doesn't meet your desired display effect, LED replacement might be considered. In fact, many of our customers have used back lit signs for over 5 years without any replacements.
  • It's recommended to install the AC transformer within a weak current box with ventilation holes or in a well-ventilated area. Proper heat dissipation will enhance the AC transformer's lifespan.
  • We will provide wiring diagrams and installation guides to ensure correct, swift and easy installation for everyone.
  • If the sign is for outdoor use, especially in areas with frequent heavy rain, we'll use IP67 LEDs and add drainage holes at the bottom of the sign shell, along with anti-leakage treatment.
